Bookmark or Share- Pee-wee's Big Adventure (1985) : r/nostalgia - RedditLove this movie so much; my uncle who worked at Radio Shack used to pirate tapes, I totally wore out copies of Pee Weeks Big Adventure, Ghostbusters and Short Circuit. To me, Pee Wees Big Adventure is a perfect movie, and if I'm ever feeling down it picks me back up. So many weird vignettes, it was a defining warping experience for me.

The rest of the movie (Large Marge aside, also sort of scary as a tot) is a zany thrill ride. I've never seen Big Top Pee-Wee or the newer one, but Big Adventure is a high watermark in Burton's oeuvre, no mistake there.
